And now, on to the featured patterns of this post...
Isolde & Butterscotch are named for the beautiful sheep from Lydia’s Flock that provided the Icelandic Wool used to make the original hat & mitts set. They are playful and fun & feature slip-stitch colorwork, simple ribbing and a slip-stitch texture pattern. Because of the frequent pattern changes, this set is a very addictive knit and the large range of sizes means that you can make a set for the whole family!
The Sindri Cowl is a highly textured, cabled cowl that is perfect for snuggling into during the first days of Autumn! 2/2 cables feature heavily in this design combined with twisted stitch hexagons and a bit of garter-stitch to round out the patterning. There are 2 patterning options available and instructions for both are fully charted as well as written out.
Tagetes begins with a tutorial for an easier I-Cord Tab/Cast-On and grows through 3 ever-increasing leaf/petal patterns overlaid on a simple mesh background. The edges are stabilized through an I-Cord edging that is slightly different from the usual. This slight change creates an edge where the joins on both sides fall to the back of the work so the front remains mirrored. It's finished with a simple picot BO and an optional button closure.
