Hello!
This week I've been working on some crochet projects and I've got a new pattern to share with you! The Americana Rose Crochet Dish Cloth is actually based off a pattern that I made up back when Cairo was just a baby (about 4 yrs ago). I was originally going to publish that eact pattern, but couldn't find my notes... or the cloth itself, lol. So I created this pattern based off the picture that I had taken of the original design.
Sunny days filled with watermelon slices and running through the sprinklers are what I had in mind while designing the original dish cloth pattern. Make one to use as a cheery cloth in the kitchen or make many in your favorite colors and attach them together as a blanket.
The Americana Rose Dish Cloth starts in the center and is worked granny- square- style to the outer edge with color changes happening at the end of the rounds. It looks great with single or multiple colors since the various stitches provide a nice texture in the finished fabric. The smallish-size also lends this pattern well to blanket squares, work some up in your favorite colors and attach them at will!
Recommended for intermediate crocheters.

The Inspiration Pattern
This was my original version.
I'm really happy with the changes that I made to the final pattern and feel like it's a good reflection of how my crochet skills have improved over the years. Back when I made that first version, I was just kind of struggling my way through the edging and the attempt to square-off the design. It's cute with the wavy edges, but what you don't see is the amount of fussing it took to make the cloth lay flat and behave for the photo.
Happy crafting,
Shaina ^_^
