It's time again for cozying up with your favorite crafts & the Down Cellar Studio Pigskin Party. Each month a different sponsor will be hosting a special crafting challenge for participants to enter to win an amazing prize.

This month is the Coin Toss challenge hosted by Sunsoaked Yarns!

No matter the team or the field, each NFL game begins the same way- with the Coin Toss. The coin is tossed in the air. It flips and twists as gravity hurdles it back towards the earth, showing off the glints of the different metals, surfaces and textures on its way down. Its a small but meaningful part of the great ceremony that is a football kick off and let’s face it, the outcome can help determine the fate of the game by deciding which team gets to kick off (or receive, if they choose)!

We want you to start your season, and this first Interception, out with our twist on the Coin Flip in this Interception hosted by Sunsoaked Yarns. Just as that coin spins its way back down showing off its various colors and glints, we want you to choose a project where the colors change as you go.

To be eligible to win

You must be registered as a Pigskin Party participant. (It's free & super fun! Click here to register & join in the fun.)
Make a project that changes colors at least 3 times.
You may use a kit or pair up your own yarns.
You can use a gradient that changes colors within the same hue (ex- light, medium and dark pink) or one that changes colors (ex. pink to orange to yellow) That can be 1 skein that has the 3 changes, or you manually use 1-3 skeins to achieve that look.
You can use 3 yarns that have some overlapping colors but some different hues/tones as well
For this challenge you may not use self-striping yarn. You may use mini skeins, 1 skein that goes through 3 color changes. Self-striping is the only ineligible form of yarn for this.
Bottom line- as long as a random passerby could easily look and see 3 colors and you do not use self-striping it counts :) (Official Clarification from Jen via Ravelry group.)
Your Project must be a minimum of 50 grams.
Start your project on or after 10/1/2022
Complete your project by 10/31/22.
