🧶 Spring Cleaning in the Yarn Room (and the Return of Indie Yarn Grab Bags)

Every once in a while, the yarn room needs a little refresh.

Over the past week I’ve been doing some spring cleaning and reorganizing, and while going through my shelves I discovered a stack of beautiful single skeins that have been patiently waiting in my stash.

Many of these yarns come from indie dyers whose colorways or bases have since been discontinued, and a few are from dyers who are no longer dyeing yarn at all. Since I can’t reliably source these yarns again, I’m not able to use them for designs or sample knitting anymore.

But they’re far too lovely to sit on a shelf.

So I decided it was the perfect time to bring back something I haven’t done in a few years…

Indie Yarn Grab Bags

Close-up of colorful yarn skeins in pink, blue, and green tones. The textures and vibrant patterns create a cozy, artistic feel.

Long-time subscribers might remember these from past sales.

Each Indie Yarn Grab Bag includes one full skein of luxury hand-dyed fingering weight yarn selected from my yarn room stash. These are gorgeous single skeins that are perfect for:

  • socks

  • shawls

  • mitts

  • small accessories

  • special accent colors in larger projects

If you enjoy knitting with indie-dyed yarn, this is a fun way to add something special to your stash.

Choose Your Color Direction

To make things a little easier, you can choose the color palette you'd prefer:

🔥 Warm TonesReds, oranges, yellows, and other warm shades.

🌊 Cool TonesBlues, greens, purples, and other cool shades.

🎁 Surprise MeIf you love a mystery skein, you can leave the choosing to me!

Yarn Details

All skeins in the grab bags meet the following criteria:

  • 100g skeins

  • fingering weight yarn

  • hand-dyed by indie dyers

  • luxury fiber blends

Fiber content may include combinations of:

  • wool

  • silk

  • baby camel

  • alpaca

  • wet-spun linen

Because these yarns come from a variety of indie dyers, bases and yardage may vary slightly, but every skein is beautiful, high-quality yarn ready to become something special.

A Spring Cleaning Price

To help these skeins find their way into new projects, the grab bags are available for:

$18 per skein

Many knitters like to grab two or three skeins for shawls or small accessory projects, so feel free to stock up if you see a color palette you love.

This sale will only be available for a limited time or until the skeins run out.

What Will You Knit?

One of my favorite parts of sending out mystery skeins is seeing what they become. Socks, shawls, hats, mittens—there are so many possibilities for a beautiful single skein.

If you end up knitting something with your grab bag yarn, I’d love to see it! Feel free to tag me on Instagram or share your project with the community.

Happy knitting!
