What the Process Actually Looks Like

One of the things I come back to again and again in design is this:


The smallest details often take the most time.


Today I’ve been working through the thumb gusset of a mitten design... reworking it more than once to get the shape and fit feeling just right.


It’s a quiet, slower part of the process, but it’s also where so much of the final piece is determined. Comfort, movement, and wearability often come down to these small, carefully considered sections.


It’s not always the most visible part of the work, but it’s an essential one.
