Our patterns are sorted by skill level from 🌱 Beginner to 🌻 Advanced.
🌱 Beginner
You’re just starting out. These patterns use basic stitches and simple construction with minimal shaping or finishing. Perfect for first projects or mindful, relaxing makes.
You should be comfortable with:

Knit/purl or basic crochet stitches (sc, dc)

Simple increases/decreases

Reading a basic written pattern
🧶 Examples: scarves, dishcloths, simple mitts
🌿 Adventurous Beginner
You’re ready to explore. These patterns build on basics with easy stitch patterns, simple shaping, and an introduction to techniques like working in the round or light colorwork.
You should be comfortable with:

Following stitch patterns (ribbing, simple lace, texture)

Basic shaping (inc/dec, working in the round)

Some finishing (seaming, picking up stitches)
🧶 Examples: hats, cowls, shawls, basic garments
🌾 Intermediate
You’re growing your skills. These patterns may include multiple techniques, more complex stitch patterns, and thoughtful construction details.
You should be comfortable with:

Reading charts and/or following more detailed instructions

You should be comfortable with:
