I don't know about you, but my holiday crafting did not go to plan at all. I only finished 1 item on my list as I intended to make it (and it was a beast... way more than I planned on, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'll share more next week after it's been gifted.)
The "easiest" project on my to-make gift list decided that it just didn't want to be made so I came up with a suitable fix that may or may not still be on the needles when gifted later today. Again, I'll share with you next week how that turns out because it might/probably will become a new pattern for you all.
The rest of the projects I had planned to make were scrapped in favor of quick, store-bought replacements so I could enjoy the un-stressed time with my family this holiday season. I can always make & gift the intended item for a birthday or Christmas next year.
What would you do in this scenario? Would you rush to finish the gifts or would you just call it, buy something else & plan on gifting the handmade item for a birthday or holiday next year?
