Perfect for a visit to the pumpkin patch or for a brisk walk around the town trick-or-treating, the Lil Punkins Cowl is a cute and snugly Autumn delight! It's made by first creating a simple single crochet cowl with contrasting edging, then the "lil punkins" are embroidered on afterwards using a simple technique & tools you already have on hand. Simple enough for beginners, but so super cute & wearable!

One of my favorite parts of this design was working with my testers & seeing how creative they were with their yarn choices and punkin placement. Creating a pattern like this that is really just a blank canvas to "doodle" embroidered punkins on was something that I hoped would give them the freedom to play around & create their own versions with & they didn't disappoint! Hopefully, they'll inspire you to play around and create your own versions, too.

We Have Kits!
For this pattern release I've worked with both Knitpicks/We Crochet and Merino y Vino to be able to offer you both a commercial and a hand-dyed option for kitting up your Lil Punkins projects. I made my original sample using Knitpicks Swish Worsted yarn in the Nutmeg, Clementine, and Dublin colorways and Lily made her sample using her specially dyed Lil Punkins Set. Both sets are really lovely to work with and produce snuggly soft & cute cowls perfect for getting all cozy as the temps start to drop this Autumn!
